Catching Up

I've had lots of catching up going on lately! I got to see my parents last week (they live a LONG way away), I got see my best friend's parents a little while ago (they live EVEN further away), I got to see one of my best friends in the world all day Tuesday (God bless holidays), I got a text from my brother yesterday telling me he's thinking of me and he's going to call me, which warmed my heart a little... he lives the furtherest (in Melbourne actually), and today I got hang out with Joe pretty much all day, and it was a lovely sunny Autumn day that was chilled and productive at the same time.

Okay, so this isn't the best photo of us, because we took it, but see the colour of the sky in the background???

And then there's the other kind of catching up, which I have to do, because of the first kind... We'll be heading to Orange next week, and I'm going to aim to have this quilt finished so that I can give it to Joe's new(-ish) little niece! We'll see whether I get there, I HATE machine quilting, but I started it before remembering this important fact about myself, and then put it back in the cupboard quite quickly... it makes me nervous, but since I've started, I can't very well turn around and finish it by hand... not sure about the border colour though... any suggestions???
