Help me!

I'm so confused with my blog right now. Last night I decided that I just needed to tidy up a little and it would all be fine, and so after hours and hours of fiddling around, I looked at it, and I'm just not that happy with the way it looks... It's ok, but not perfect, and I blame it on the fact that I've been having a lot of trouble with blogger over the last few weeks, maybe even a little longer than that. I can't move the page elements around easily like I used to be able, so there are things on my sidebars that are just not where I want them to be, and some are only because I copied and pasted HTML from one 'gadget' to another, but it took way too long, and left me feeling frustrated. So I have looked into Wordpress and Typepad, and I just can't tell what I should do, I don't really know anyone with Wordpress, but I signed up for a blog because it's free, and I'm feeling stumped by the fact I don't know CSS coding. I've had trouble entering my credit card details into the Typepad so that I can try it out, and I know it isn't my credit card that's having the problems, so I'm wondering about the quality of service and functionality based on that simple thing... hhhhmmmmmnnnn. I have no idea what to do. Blogger has also been doing a bunch of other weird stuff, such as when I click on certain hypertext in my profile, to find other bloggers who live in Australia or like reading, it says there aren't any... it never used to do that.
