Special

henry

from my nanna.

Pip at Meet me at Mikes is hosting a week of special... and after having read a whole lot of sweet, special posts, I felt inspired to get in on the caper.

My special for today is that little part of my craft room where I keep all the things that I want to look at all time. The things I stare into for hours at a time some days and let my thoughts wonder.

This little cross-stitch from my childhood, something I can barely remember. My Mum's family seemed to pile crafty things onto me from birth... things I didn't always appreciate either, in fact I can remember being instantly let down when I felt presents were soft--indicating fabric... how funny this seems now...

My Amelie poster which reminds of the time I saw the movie with Nellie, my bestest buddy in the whole wide world, who died of cancer not so long ago... but we loved that movie! She gave me several Amelie haircuts... they were all the rage in Leichhardt that year!

My photos of everyone I love.

My sewing machine... which my parents gave me for my 21st birthday-- I was mad at them too, what a waste of money I thought. I wanted a light metre...

The little Jesus ornament that I gave Joe when he moved back to Sydney from Hamburg... his house warming present, that he had no idea what to do with.

And Henry, who managed to squeeze himself into yet another photo!
